Георгий Квирикашвили

George Kvirikashvili is a seasoned professional with thirty years of experience as a commercial banker, international development policy and strategy consultant with major MDBs, and public sector official serving at highest levels in Executive as well as legislative Government.

He is currently engaged with the Asian Development Bank, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping a comprehensive roadmap for FinTech-based cross-border cooperation in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Countries.

His career includes serving as an International Advisor for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Uzbekistan from 2018 to 2022, notably contributing to the establishment of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of Uzbekistan, thereby building a conducive investment climate in the country.

During his tenure as Prime Minister of Georgia from 2015 to 2018, George led significant initiatives for Georgia's European integration. His achievements encompass negotiating Schengen Visa-free travel for Georgian citizens, instituting a paradigm-shifting Corporate Tax Reform exempting corporate retained earnings from profits tax, and introducing the Pillar II Pension System. Prior to his prime ministerial role, he held diverse responsibilities as Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy and played one of the key roles in Georgia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

With over 15 years of business and banking experience in various executive positions, George has successfully completed numerous international consulting projects. His expertise spans pension systems, financial sector reforms, and bond market development. Drawing from his rich experience across government, international organizations, and the private sector, George continues to drive strategic initiatives for enduring economic development and cross-border cooperation in the region.
