Client Story: An art, which helps to survive
Rajabova Zeboniso is working as a teacher in secondary school for more than 10 years. Every year her husband goes to Russian as a labor migrant for earnings.
At present their son is a student, and their daughter is married. In addition to teaching that requires a lot of efforts and time, Zeboniso is engaged in sewing. In her free time she sews beautiful and comfortable national clothes to the girls living in the area.
She carries out all work using the old manual sewing machine and during a long time wished to buy the new sewing machine. She has created group together with other teachers, and took a loan from ÌLÎ «Humo and partners» with the total amount of 1000 TJS for a purchase of new machine. Second time Zeboniso in 2009 has applied for a loan to Humî already for 1500TJS with a wish to buy an additional sewing machine for her daughter.
Life is not always easy; there are flying off and fallings. Zeboniso was not an exception and had to face the difficulties. Her husband got ill and has returned from Russia, their life became even worse. The woman had to start her sewing activity again. After meetings with many people, attentively having listened to their advices, she has decided to renew sewing activity, and 4 months after repayment of the loan she took another loan. In 2010 she borrowed 2000 TJS again, bought different fabrics; she has started the sewing with her daughter. Eventually her husband has recovered.
The client has managed expansion of her activity and started getting a good profit and she could support her son to be admitted to the university on a paid faculty. In September, 2010 Zeboniso took a next loan -3500TJS.
She bought necessary things for sewing of dresses, and together with her daughter has continued the sewing business. From the received profit she bought house accessories to improve the living conditions.
