Client Story: Success of a Retiree
Throughout his entire live, Qurbon Rajabov worked as a bus driver. However, his salary was small and he was never able to save up money. So, when he retired, he had to supplement his small pension by buying and selling livestock. However, his real dream was to someday have an actual farm. So, when he first learned about "Humo and Partners" - a micro-finance organization that helps people realize their dreams - he wasted no time and created a business group - "Rustam".
When he received his first loan of just $440 USD, he bought 15 small goats and built a cattle house for them. Since the goats delivered offspring about twice a year, their numbers began to increase quickly. Each month, he would sell one or two to the neighbors and used the money to repay the loans and saved the rest. His goal was to save $1,000 USD in order to pay for his son's wedding.
Today, Qurbon's farm has 30 goats - 17 of which are large ones. Now, he can afford to feed his family - which consists of 6 people and a grandson - with fresh meat. After he is done repaying the first loan, he plans to apply for another one in order to buy a milk cow for his family.
Qurbon is grateful to "Humo and Partners" for helping him achieve his dreams and making the loan process simple and not requiring any collateral.
